Different projects - Various approaches -

Creating films together with joy.

My work starts with the camera’s relationship to the story — it sets the direction. From there, every technical decision follows: lighting, lenses, and movement are guided by the rhythm of the narrative and make its mood visible. My approach is to find the images that lead the story, bring characters closer, and make atmosphere tangible. In this, I see myself as a reliable partner to the director and as a clear, dependable point of contact for production.

I was shaped by my studies at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, prior technical training, and extensive practical experience on set. In 2011, I graduated in Potsdam as a master’s student of Michael Hammon with my debut feature film “Sommer auf dem Land”. Shoots across different formats and genres have sharpened my way of working — technically precise, well-structured, and always in service of the story. A special focus lies on light: whether natural or crafted, always designed. I bring speed and efficiency from series productions, and a feel for unique moments from documentary work.

I enjoy moving between different modes of production: documentary projects (including overt or hidden reenactments) as well as fictional stories that benefit from a documentary sensibility. Ongoing professional development is part of my practice — including the lighting seminar with Christian Berger — as is engaging with post-production and the broader topic of AI. I also fly drones and work as a gimbal operator, allowing me to integrate flexibly and directly into the shooting process.
